Umatilla was founded in 1856 by Nathan J. Trowell. The name was taken from an Oregon town of the
same name, and Indian name meaning ?laughing waters?. The area was incorporated on November 8, 1904.
We are very please to be "Chartered" by The Austin-Giles American Legion Post 21 in Umatilla, FL. We meet on Wednesday @ 6:45 PM at the Presbyterian Church and
are excited about the future growth of our Pack and our relationship with the American Legion on Highway 19 just North of Umatilla.
